CloudAccess is a DIY project for makers and hobbyists: an ESP32 controller, RFID cards, browser-based management and cloud monitoring — in a system you can test, understand and extend.
CloudAccess combines ESP32 firmware with a web interface and cloud services. It is designed as a practical project for learning, prototyping and DIY access-control automation.
Configure and control the project from your browser without staying permanently connected to the ESP32 board.
Add cards and users and quickly decide who has access.
Organize users and access rules according to your space and needs.
Trigger a door opening directly from the platform whenever needed.
Manage different devices and access points from the same account.
Configure the controller locally, then connect it to CloudAccess for centralized management.
Quickly see whether devices are online and follow the system status.
Keep visibility into access events and important actions.
Maintain and update device firmware without complicated on-site steps.
The web application at app.cloudaccess.ro is the CloudAccess administration center. From there you can configure devices, manage users and RFID cards, define access permissions, review events and activity logs, change system settings and remotely control connected devices.
The Android application is designed mainly for end users. It provides quick access to everyday functions such as remote opening and management of their own cards, without exposing the advanced administration options available in the web application.
The web and Android applications use the same CloudAccess account and the same data, so access rights, cards and changes made in the system stay synchronized.
CloudAccess protects communication between apps, cloud services and the controller through secure connections and authentication mechanisms, without complicating everyday use.
HTTPS/WSS connections for communication with CloudAccess services
Token-based authentication and session control
OTA updates and controlled access to administration features
From installing the controller to day-to-day management, the workflow is simple and easy to follow.
Flash the firmware to the ESP32, connect it to the network and configure the hardware for your prototype.
Register RFID cards, create users and test access rules directly from the web interface.
Monitor the device, review events and test remote commands from CloudAccess.
