A complete project for access-control experiments

CloudAccess combines ESP32 firmware with a web interface and cloud services. It is designed as a practical project for learning, prototyping and DIY access-control automation.

Browser control

Configure and control the project from your browser without staying permanently connected to the ESP32 board.

RFID access

Add cards and users and quickly decide who has access.

Flexible permissions

Organize users and access rules according to your space and needs.

Remote control

Trigger a door opening directly from the platform whenever needed.

Multiple locations

Manage different devices and access points from the same account.

Simple setup

Configure the controller locally, then connect it to CloudAccess for centralized management.

Real-time monitoring

Quickly see whether devices are online and follow the system status.

Event log

Keep visibility into access events and important actions.

Firmware updates

Maintain and update device firmware without complicated on-site steps.

CloudAccess in your browser and on Android

The web application at app.cloudaccess.ro is the CloudAccess administration center. From there you can configure devices, manage users and RFID cards, define access permissions, review events and activity logs, change system settings and remotely control connected devices.

The Android application is designed mainly for end users. It provides quick access to everyday functions such as remote opening and management of their own cards, without exposing the advanced administration options available in the web application.

The web and Android applications use the same CloudAccess account and the same data, so access rights, cards and changes made in the system stay synchronized.

Control access from anywhere, from one platform.

SECURITY

Secure communication between components

CloudAccess protects communication between apps, cloud services and the controller through secure connections and authentication mechanisms, without complicating everyday use.

HTTPS/WSS connections for communication with CloudAccess services

Token-based authentication and session control

OTA updates and controlled access to administration features

How to use it

From installing the controller to day-to-day management, the workflow is simple and easy to follow.

1. Prepare the controller

Flash the firmware to the ESP32, connect it to the network and configure the hardware for your prototype.

2. Add cards and users

Register RFID cards, create users and test access rules directly from the web interface.

3. Experiment from the cloud

Monitor the device, review events and test remote commands from CloudAccess.

About CloudAccess

CloudAccess is a DIY project that connects an ESP32 controller to a web interface for managing cards, users, access rules and events.

Yes. The platform is designed to manage multiple devices and access points from the same account.

You can add users and RFID cards from the web interface and experiment with access rules and permissions.

Yes. For connected devices, the platform can allow remote access commands depending on the user permissions.
Operation & security

The controller runs its logic locally, while the cloud connection adds the web interface, monitoring and remote control.

The project uses secure connections and authentication for communication between the controller and cloud services.

Yes. The platform provides visibility into online/offline status and relevant events.

The system is designed for maintenance and firmware updates without unnecessary intervention on every device.
